The internet speed measuring service, Speedtest, has re-released the monthly report "Speedtest Global Index" for August 2021. It describes internet speed rankings in a number of countries, including Indonesia. The Speedtest Global Index provides a ranking of fixed broadband and mobile internet speeds in more than 190 countries around the world, based on Speedtest test data collected monthly.

For fixed broadband speed, Singapore is in the top position with an average download speed of 262.20 Mbps and an average upload speed of 236.81 Mbps, and a latency of 11 ms. Then, in second place is inhabited by Hong Kong which has an average download speed of 254.40 Mbps, upload speed of 201.02 Mbps, and latency of 13 ms.

Below Hong Kong, there is Monaco which recorded an average download speed of 242.89 Mbps, an upload speed of 158.71 Mbps, and a latency of 19 ms.

Then, the fourth and fifth places are occupied by Switzerland and Thailand with average download speeds of 222.00 and 221.00 Mbps, upload speeds of 143.36 and 171.40 Mbps, and latency of 13 and 8 ms.

5 Countries with the fastest mobile internet speed

For the ranking of countries with mobile internet speeds in the world, the United Arab Emirates occupies the first position with an average download speed of 195.52 Mbps, an average upload speed of 26.94 Mbps, and a latency of 23 ms.

Then in second place is South Korea, which has an average download speed of 192.16 Mbps with an upload speed of 21.42 Mbps, and a latency of 30 ms.

Then third place is occupied by Norway with an average download speed score of 173.54 Mbps, upload speed of 23.59 Mbps, and latency of 33 ms.

Furthermore, Qatar and China are in fourth and fifth position with download speed scores of 169.17 and 163.45 Mbps, respectively.
