When Will Your Smartphone Receive Android 13 Update?

While the deployment of Android 13 is slated for October 2022, manufacturers are gradually announcing new OS availability dates for their smartphone models that are eligible for the update. This list is not exhaustive and will be updated as the manufacturer announces.
Android 13 Samsung
The Korean manufacturer is preparing to roll out its major update to OneUI 5, based on Android 13. Samsung has yet to announce an official list of models that will benefit from the new OS. But according to the SamMobile website, the company's smartphones that will have Android 13 before 2023 are as follows:
- Galaxy S22, S22+, S22 Ultra: before the end of 2022
- Galaxy S21, S21E, S21+, S21 Ultra: before the end of 2022
- Galaxy Z Fold 3: before the end of 2022
- Galaxy Z Fold 4: before the end of 2022
- Galaxy Z Flip 3: before the end of 2022
- Galaxy Z Flip 4: before the end of 2022
- Galaxy A53: before the end of 2022
Another model that is eligible for OneUI 5 (based on Android 13) will certainly be announced by Samsung. For reference, last year most of the brand's smartphones already had access to Android 12 (with OneUI 4) in January 2022, another burst of deployment occurred between February and August 2022.
Android 13 Google
The stable version of Android 13 has been available since August 2022 for the following Google Pixel smartphones:
- Piksel 4
- Piksel 4XL
- Piksel 4a
- Piksel 4a (5G)
- Piksel 5
- Piksel 5a
- Piksel 6
- Pixel 6 Pro
- Piksel 6a
Also note that the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones, which are slated for release this fall, will be released with Android 13.

- OPPO Pad Air (tablet): first half of 2023
Android 13 OnePlus
OnePlus will be implementing Android 13 on its smartphone models via the OxygenOS 13 operating system. The Chinese manufacturer has unveiled a list of phones that will benefit from its OS update based on Android 13 and recently announced the stable release of OxygenOS 13 for the OnePlus 10 Pro.
The full list of OnePlus smartphones that will get Android 13 is as follows:
- OnePlus 10 Pro: currently launching
- OnePlus 10R, OnePlus 10T: planned updates
- OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, OnePlus 9R, OnePlus 9RT: planned updates
- OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 8T: planned updates
- OnePlus Nord 2, OnePlus Nord 2T: planned updates
- OnePlus Nord CE, OnePlus Nord CE 2, OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite: planned updates
realme
Madhav Sheth, president of realme International, revealed in a tweet the roadmap for updating to Android 13. Here are the scheduled update dates for realme smartphones:
- realme GT 2 Pro: already available (since August 2022)
- realme GT NEO 3 150W, realme GT NEO 3: September 2022
- realme GT 2: September 2022
- realme GT NEO 3T: October 2022
- realme 9 Pro+ 5G, realme 9 Pro 5G, realme 9i 5G: October 2022

Android 13 Asus, Nokia, Xiaomi: list not yet announced
Several manufacturers have not officially announced smartphones that will benefit from Android 13 and the deployment date for this new OS depends on the phone model. This is especially the case for Asus, Nokia or Xiaomi. However, according to the list of Android 13 compatible phones, the Zenfone 8 should benefit from it on Asus, as well as the Nokia X20. On the Xiaomi side, it is confirmed that the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi Pad 5 (tablet) models will be able to install Android 13.
